LIBER’s response to the German consultation on the Digital Single Market Directive
The Copyright & Legal Working Group is a group of librarians, lawyers, professors and communications professionals who monitor current European law and react to proposed changes, on behalf of libraries, archives, researchers and students.
Since its formation in 2014, the group has fundamentally impacted the development of legal thinking in Europe, to the benefit of libraries, universities and researchers. A major achievement was the establishment of Text and Data Mining as a right for universities and research bodies.
The Copyright & Legal Matters Working Group operates as part of LIBER’s Strategic Direction on Innovative Scholarly Communications, which in turn is one of the key pillars of our 2018-2022 Strategy.
