Helena Lovegrove is LIBER’s new Advocacy Adviser.

LIBER would like to welcome Helena Lovegrove as our new Advocacy Adviser. She is taking over from our current Advocacy Officer, Helen Frew, who will shortly move to the Permits Foundation as their International Advocacy Adviser.

Helena has been working in EU public affairs for the past 17 years as a consultant with the past four years focused on cultural heritage interests. Based in Brussels and working as an independent, she will combine her work for LIBER with ongoing support to Europeana. LIBER is delighted to have Helena’s additional support at this critical time for our sector.

“LIBER and its fellow research organisations have done a great job educating EU policy makers of their needs in the copyright reform, in a timely and constructive manner. I look forward to continuing that dialogue with policy makers, to ensure the best possible outcome for the sector.”

At the same time as Helena takes the lead on advocacy work for LIBER, we would like to thank Helen for her work here at LIBER over the past two years.

“I have had a great experience here working on open science, copyright and TDM, be that as part of the FutureTDM project or through LIBER’s advocacy work. It is certainly an exciting time to be involved in EU digital affairs and I have thoroughly enjoyed representing LIBER and promoting our strategy. It is fantastic to see how we are really making an impact in Brussels and I feel happy that there are extremely capable colleagues taking on my advocacy and project roles at LIBER,” Helen said.
